Southern-style Macaroni & Cheese

Macaroni & cheese is a Southern staple. This is a personal recipe that my boyfriend and I have both become obsessed with. We make it any chance we get! I think this recipe is the perfect amount of cheesy and an excellent addition to any Summer meal! -kw

Kristen's Crackaroni (12-step program not included)

2 c. Pasta (raditore is my personal favorite!)
1/4 c. Heavy cream
2 tbsp. Whole milk
1 c. Grated mild cheddar
3 slices American cheese
Salt
Pepper

Bring water to a boil. Add pasta to water and return to a low boil for 8-10 minutes. While pasta is cooking, combine milk and cream in a sauce pan and simmer. Slowly add the cheddar and American cheeses to the sauce pan. Once the cheese is completely melted and blended, take the sauce off the heat. Drain the pasta and add the cheese sauce to the macaroni. Stir and enjoy!!!
