Fall Essentials

Fall is such a bittersweet time of year for me. I am a huge fan of Halloween and all the fun seasoning baking, but I could definitely do without the cold! I do, however, enjoy all the comfy clothes and the changing of my wardrobe. These are some of the items are think are essential for me this season. -kwFall Essentials

Oh make me over!

Lately, I have become quite the makeup and skincare junkie! I used to have an anxiety attack if I strayed from my normal beauty regimen of a classic cat-eye and a touch of pink blush, but I have been so inspired by makeup recently that new ideas just keep coming to mind! This Fall, I am saying so long to routines and changing things up a bit. Bordeaux lips, cobalt nails, ultra-hydrated skin, bindi jewels and glitter galore are my beauty picks for Fall. I cannot wait to play around with some fun new looks for the blog! -kw

DIY Bleached Leggings

What you will need: - One pair of dark colored cotton leggings (I got a black pair at Wal-mart for about $7.00) - Bleach Pen 1. Draw designs onto leggings, be careful not to smudge the bleach because any part of the fabric that touches the bleach will become part of the design! 2. Let leggings sit for 45 minutes to an hour, rinse under warm water. 3. Wash, dry, and wear! Ta-da, DIY leggings! I am obsessed with this look, the possibilities are endless!! -aw

All About Fall

Long sleeves and shorts: I cannot think of a more perfect combination!! I love when the weather finally cools off a little here in Texas so I can break out my sweatshirts, but luckily, that does not mean it is time to give up my beloved shorts. I definitely need all of these items for my transition into Fall fashion, especially those Kenzo shorts! -kw

Goths in Suburbia.

Here in Texas, we cannot seem to shake the heat, but that does not mean we are willing to sacrifice our style! All black is a great look on anyone, even if it is 110° outside. Ashley, our good friend Shasa and I all seem to gravitate towards an all black ensemble on a day-to-day basis. We had a lot of fun gothin' up our looks for our take on Summer fashion. -kw

Shark Week DIY: Potato Stamp + Shark Shirt

It's shark week and I thought it'd be fun to do a DIY project with a shark theme. Here's my step-by-step how-to for a shark stamped t-shirt!

1. First I carved a stamp out of a potato. I used wood carving tools to cut out the shape.
2. Next, use a paintbrush to paint the blue fabric paint onto the stamp.
3. Stamp your shirt.
4. After that, I decided to add some more color so I dip dyed the shirt red first and then a yellow in the center.
5. Rinse, and let dry!

It's as simple as that! Shark shirt! -aw
